Segurança aeroportuária focada em itens eletrônicos

Following last week’s announcements concerning enhanced security checks for US flights, electronic devices are to be subjected to extra security. The move follows US demands that overseas airports with direct flights to America must intensify the screening of electronic devices. While the US does not control security operations at other countries airports it will deny access to any airlines and airports which fail to meet its security standards.

A statement said that passengers may be asked to power up any electrical items being taken on board as cabin baggage and equipment. Any items that fail to power up will not be allowed on board. It read: “During the security examination, officers may also ask that owners power up some devices, including cell phones.

“Powerless devices will not be permitted on board the aircraft. The traveller may also undergo additional screening.” The authorities in the UK, France and Germany have already said they would comply with the US demands.
